Cancellation and Refund Policy
How cancellations, refunds, credits, penalties, and fare deadlines should be interpreted on Around for Less.
Fare-specific rules control
Cancellation and refund rights depend on the selected fare, airline, route, cabin, supplier, and timing of the request.
If a fare card or trip plan lists a deadline, penalty, or nonrefundable status, treat that as a planning summary and verify it before final booking.
Refundable and nonrefundable fares
Refundable fares may allow a cash refund before a deadline or before departure, subject to supplier rules.
Partially refundable fares may deduct a penalty, retain a service fee, or return value as airline credit.
Nonrefundable fares usually do not return cash value after purchase, except where airline rules or applicable law require it.
Refund timing
Refund timing is controlled by the airline, supplier, card issuer, wallet provider, or financing provider.
If a refund is approved by a supplier, it may still take additional time for a bank or payment provider to post it.
No-shows and missed connections
Missing a flight, failing to check in, or skipping a segment may cause the airline to cancel later segments.
Missed-connection remedies depend on whether the itinerary is protected under one ticket or separated across multiple bookings.
